Baby Florence, now amongst us
On Saturday, January 20th, at 5h38 pm, Florence made her big entrance into the world. At 8lb, 7 ounces, and 22in long, she is a calm and peaceful baby who sleeps a lot and breast feeds like the big girl she is. So big in fact, that she was too tall for the pj's we had brought with us.
Stéphanie is doing well, and less than two days after giving birth, we are now home. It seems different somehow, now that there's this little girl in the next room, who depends completely on us. Quite overwhelming, but oh so natural and humbling. Both of us are overwhelmed with joy and happiness thinking how this little bundle of love has brought us so much.
As I write this, Stéphanie is asleep, resting a little until I wake her up in a few hours for the next feed. A new routine is slowly taking shape in our little corner of the world. Life is renewing itself. We are now a family.
So much to discover and learn.

Hello and greetings from Maryland!
Congrats, David and Stephanie for your new bundle of "cinta" (Indonesian = love) :). I'm 38 weeks and has been waiting for my baby to come (can't wait! this "waiting game" is killing me!).

Hi Yati,
Indeed she's a joy to be with, to look at, to love and to hold.
At 38 weeks, your due any time now, and we both wish you the best of luck.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your own little cinta!
