Could you live without music?

Music has always been an integral part of my life. It's an anchor from which memories are attached. Play different songs from different groups, and different memories come to life. Play any ABBA, or Demis Roussos song, and I'm reminded of my youth in northern Quebec. Play something from Marianne Rosenberg and my year in Jamaica comes back to life.

It's really incredible.

Anyways, these were artists my folks were listening to when I was a youth, but you see my point. Music is tied to our memories and vice versa, and I just couldn't live without either.

The videos below are some of the groups I'm currently listening to these days. I guess I could use music to retell the story of your life. Which is why I'd have a hard time living with music. Could you?

Although I would continue to perform basic bodily functions without music, I'd hardly call that living.
